Reflexology Foot Chart

Foot/Hand Reflexology

With an estimated 100 to 200 thousand exteroceptors in the sole of each foot, your feet are among the most nerve-rich parts of your body. Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that the entire body is mirrored in the feet and hands. The reflexologist applies special techniques and pressure to the hands and feet and is then able to discover deposits under the skin which correspond to an issue within the body or a blockage in the energy flow.  Reflexology aims to increase blood flow and to help remove congestion in the body. This helps the body to rebalance and heal itself by improving and optimising your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. To assist with easing of symptoms, Acupressure can be applied in the treatment.

Hot Stone Reflexology

Hot stones are incorporated into a reflexology treatment using large stones to warm and massage the legs and feet/hands, and small stones to work reflex points and more specific areas. It is estimated that one stroke of a hot stone is worth five strokes of a hand. It is also believed to yield five times deeper and five times longer lasting effects compared to a normal reflexology session. The heat helps to relax the muscles in the feet/leg/hands allowing me to work deeper into the reflex areas.
